My Favorite- Prophet Muhammad SAW
My favorite person is the Prophet Muhammad SAW. He is a
prophet and messenger who is enshrined in Islam. Better known as Muhammad or
Prophet Muhammad, he was also the leader who united the Arabian Peninsula into
one state under Islamic rule. Muhammad is considered by Muslims to be the
restorer of the monotheistic faith of the teachings of the previous prophets
brought by the Prophets Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets.
Born in Makkah, Arabian Peninsula, he was an orphan since
childhood where he was taken care of by his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib bin
Hashim and then his uncle, Abu Talib bin Abdul Muttalib. He also worked as a
goatherd and merchant and his first marriage was when he was 25 years old where
he married Khadijah bint Khuwailid. His family practiced the teachings of
Prophet Ibrahim AS. When Muhammad was 40 years old, he received the first
revelation from God through the angel Gabriel while in the Cave of Hira. Three
years after the incident, he began to preach openly to the people of Makkah by
saying "God is One" and should surrender completely to God and it is
a way of life accepted by God alone.
Muhammad received a number of followers at first consisting
of various sects. The teachings brought by him met with great opposition among
the people of Makkah and even they were treated badly and cruelly. Therefore,
Muhammad had sent some of his followers to Abyssinia before he and his other
followers in Makkah Hijrah to Medina. The event of Muhammad's migration marked
the beginning of the Islamic calendar or Hijri calendar. In Medina, Muhammad
united all the tribes under the Medina Charter. After a dispute with the people
of Makkah for 8 years, he brought 10,000 of his followers to Makkah and opened
it. Muhammad and his followers destroyed the idols found in Makkah. In the year
632 A.D., a few months after the Hajj of Farewell or Hajj of Farewell, Muhammad
fell ill and died. At the time of his death, almost the entire Arabian
Peninsula was under the auspices of Islam and united in its entirety. His
mother, Aminah bint Wahab, was the daughter of Wahab bin Abdul Manaf from the
Zahrah family. His father, Abdullah, was the son of Abdul Muttalib. His
descendants are said to be descended from Prophet Ishmael, the son of Prophet
Ibrahim in about the fortieth lineage.
His father had died before his birth. While his mother died
when he was about six years old, making him an orphan. According to the
tradition of the upper Meccan family, he was cared for by an adoptive mother named Halimahtus Sa'adiah in
his hometown in the mountains for several years. In those years, he was taken
to Makkah to visit his mother. After his mother died, he was taken care of by
his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib. When his grandfather died, he was taken care
of by his uncle, Abu Talib. It was during this time that he often helped herd
his uncle's goats around Mecca and often accompanied his uncle in trade to Syria.
Finally, let us pray for the Prophet Muhammad. Sollu alan nabi.
